These can be painted on a shield or any drum. All shields or totem animal drums come with a card describing what the animal represents to Native Americans.
Hand Painted Rawhide Totem Shields When a drum does not develop its voice, Little Badger strips the heads from that drum. He recycles the rawhide into medicine shields. Each shield comes with a card that explains the totem animal. Shields come in four sizes:
Mini (4" diameter) - $25.00

All shields are original art, one of a kind paintings, signed by the artist. Since each painting is unique, the images we show you are examples of Talking Bird's style. Every shield will be YOUR one of a kind work of art.
All shields are decorated with natural feathers and glass pony beads. Totem medicine is used whenever possible. For example, we have a source for wild mustang hair - a friend participates in the recovery program. We will use buffalo hair on shields with bufflo image, etc. If you want a more traditional looking shield with red felt and feathers tied to that, please specify.
